Sims 2 Haustiere Patch Windows 7

I looked through the tags here and I googled and looked on the official web site, etc., but I can't find any definitive answer to my question. So many answers I don't know what is the correct one.

Please help.I have a new computer with 64 bit Windows 7 and last night I installed Sims 2 DVD edition and all 16 of my expansion packs. I haven't tried playing the game yet because I'm concerned that I might need a patch of some kind for it to work correctly. So my questions.Do I need a patch? Where is a reliable link to download a patch? Or do I need to do something else?I'm nervous about messing this up.Thank you for any help.:). Thanks for answering. I tried the game and it worked fine, so far.

I don't have combo packs, I have all the original expansion packs as I bought them as they came out. The expansion packs have updates and fixes for past problems. As long as you load them in order they should work fine and that's what I did. If I start having problems I will go to the sims 2 site and try downloading the DVD patch because that's the edition I have.

I guess I'll just have to play it for a while and see if I have problems. It's best to apply all the patches from the exchange as you install each ep. Those are the only patches. You might want to check how your antivirus handles sims on windows 7 64 bit, I have to turn mine off before I play or it 'eats babies' (literally sim babies will vanish) leaving the parents with 'had subject' memories and fills my neighbourhood and character folders with tmp files. Never had a problem on Vista and most people don't on Windows 7, but it's something to watch for.

Pinkthistles has this same problem and uses a different antivirus then I do.Also Windows 7 makes two EA Games folders. The second one is empty and you just have to ignore it. Thanks for the reply. It's best to apply all the patches from the exchange as you install each ep.

Sims 2 Windows 10 Resolution

Those are the only patches. It seemed like with each expansion pack I installed it updated when needed. I tried running the game and it seemed to work fine. But that may change with time, or it may not.Yipe. I'll keep an eye out for the 'eating babies' problem. I run McAfee.I just checked and I see what you mean about the two game folders. Thanks for letting me know because I would have been very confused.

The Sims 2 Not Running on Windows 10Hi, I have recently installed TS2 on my new HP laptop. Its a difficult tragedy. I tried the Graphic Rules Mod which helped my problem of not bring able to enter the game, so now i could enter a neighborhood. However, I cant enter Create a Sim or a household. It does the loading sequence but then freezes.

It does not enter Create a Sim or a household, long story short. I have tried a patch, but that isn't working, it wont even intall right and the program just crashes! This is my third time trying to make this work and this is my last hope.

Sims 2 Patch Windows 10

Thank you to anyone in advance who helps. Regards, PatriceUpdate: Running it in compatibility mode does not work either. There is a sticky thread up above about making TS2 run in Win 8 - I know it's not the same operating system but you might find some useful tips there. It's not that the game won't work with Win10 though - I, and a few others run it without problems, so it's likely that's there's something preventing your game working. It's worth continuing to poke about because there are solutions to common problems around.

Doing the graphic rules thing is a good first step and probably needed anyway to get the game to co-operate with your video card. First, is it a version with CD or the Ultimate Collection?Have you tried:- running the programme as administrator?- running it in compatibility mode?- make sure your antivirus sees it as a 'trusted' programme, tooAlso where have you installed the game? I always install Games.outside. the main Program Files folder, to avoid problems with Windows doing weird things with it.

Sims 2 Haustiere Patch Windows 7

So for example mine is in C:/Games/The Sims 2 Ultimate CollectionI own the 4 disc cd-rom version, and yes i have tried to run it as a administrator, and its intalled in the Programes Files. The tutorial for Windows 8 works for Windows 10 as well (at least for me).

The Sims 3

Uninstall the game, and before re-installing set the autorun to compatibility with Windows XP service pack 2. Do that for both the original game CD and any expansion pack you may install. Once you are done, the game should run without problem. Not even Microsoft can mess with Thanos of Titan.I have been trying, the last couple of days, to install the game on Windows 10.

Setting it to compatibility with service pack 2 caused the game to crash after I changed the GraphicsRules.sgr file to allow a resolution more than 800x600. So I tried service pack 3. That worked - until I tried to patch the base game.Last night I found this thread, and decided to try to get UC, and got a very helpful CS rep and now I have it.

Definitely worth trying that.
